One-Third of People Text Naked Pictures of Themselves

Is your kid sexting? MTV would suggest that about a third of folks between the ages of 14-24 do! I wouldn't say that these kinds of results are anything but garbage in the first place, so don't overreact if you are a parent. It is an interesting thought though, as the idea of "sexting" seems to be catching on.

Someone's Using a Newer Than New iPhone

A new iPhone model identifier, iPhone 3,1, has been found in the analytics of iBART-- a transportation application for the Bay Area of San Francisco. Could this be a prelude to a new iPhone in the works for the summer of 2010? Maybe the iPhone 4G? Even though AT&T doesn’t have a 4G network that I know of. It may just be smoke and mirrors but MacRumors is quick to point out that the last time this happened, they ended up releasing the iPhone 3GS—which was detected as iPhone2,1. Maybe I’ll become more interested if it has a tactile keyboard and the ability to multi-task.

Paper Thin Batteries Made out of Nasty Green Algae

Battery technology may be in for an upgrade, finally, and it’s likely to come from nasty algae. It could be the biggest development since the Lithium Polymer battery, although it isn’t likely to replace the technology. This is a little frustrating since our portable electronics are becoming more powerful while our batteries aren’t lasting any longer. There are some worthy advantages here though.

Straight or Gay? Screw Those Options, This Guy Loves a Video Game

While the United States is having huge debates over same sex marriage, a gamer decided to make all of that seem trivial at best. Nene Anegasaki from the dating sim Love Plus is now taken. I have a feeling that the physical side of the relationship will ultimately be quite unsatisfactory. This will probably lead to some cheating and a divorce in the near future. No word yet on how the assets would be divided.

ATI Radeon HD 5970: Finally Something Good From ATI

If you're like me, you haven't had too much interested with what ATI has had to offer since AMD bought them out. My last ATI card was an All-in-Wonder x800XT, that's an AGP card by the way. I've felt that ATI has been a sinking ship, and many have been quick disagree with me on this. I think the ATI Radeon HD 5970 is about to change my mind here. The card is incredibly fast and it blows the 3DMark Vantage benchmark out of the water.

Sprint Has an Android 1.5 Update for the Hero Coming Soon

In a post on the Sprint Community forums, a Sprint Admin has stated that a, "Maintenance release is being developed for the Hero..." There's not too much information beyond that. The update should fix the SMS issue that can drain the Hero's battery. It should also correct a DST problem. Expect the release to be within a few weeks here. This won't be an OS update since HTC is still working out the kinks for the Sense UI on Android 2.0.

No More Heroes to 360/PS3

It seems that Marvelous is making good on their statement early last summer that they were going to port some Wii games to the 360 and PS3. It seems they are starting with Suda 51's No More Heroes. Suda has claimed that after the sequel which has been announced as well, he wants to take the series to HD consoles. Well it seems that they might be working on that already. It will be a straight port but there is an announced mode where the women seem to be wearing less clothing as well.

Atlus localizing 3d Dot Game Heroes and just announced release date.

Atlus has announced the game will be coming overseas to North America and now has a partial website up. There are two buttons on the site at the moment one is to pre-order and the other to tell a friend, if you hit the pre-order you can see that the game is coming out in May of 2010. There are two conflicting reports of when in May, I have heard the 3rd and the 11th. So I say we just stick with May for now.

First Step to Smartphone Flash! Adobe Releases Flash 10.1 Beta (and Air 2.0)

Hold up! It's not released for smart-phones yet! Especially if your smart-phone is an iPhone (hah!). The first steps have been taken however, and the Adobe Flash 10.1 beta is now out for Windows desktops. I of course went nuts about this back in October, and it's finally here.

Windows Mobile App Store Finally Comes to WinMo 6.x Devices

Windows Mobile 6.5 is kind of janky, and the chances are that your phone probably hasn't been updated with this horrible version of the OS. No worries, Microsoft finally has you covered. They've opened up their App Market to WinMo 6.0 and 6.1 now as well.
