Thanksgiving Vacation
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 30, 2009 - 12:06pmYeah, we took a small Thanksgiving break. Thanks for reading the already existing stories while I was gone in Phoenix.
Modified Featured Article Area
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 19, 2009 - 2:23pmI changed the code for the Featured Article section at the top of the page. It should link people to the actual URL of the page instead of the psuedo URL that contains the node id number. Not a huge change, but it took me some time to recode. Now my website analytics will be a little more accurate, and hopefully when people link from my site they'll use the correct URL now instead of the node URL.
Bouncy Bouncy
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 10, 2009 - 11:54amIn a silly attempt to lower our bounce rate (currently at about 67%) to something a little more professional (about 33%), I've added some code that will show related articles based on our tags and category selections. Hopefully it'll prompt some of you to take a look at the other content we have to offer on this site if you're just stopping in.
Any suggestions on improving the layout of the site? Head over to the contact page and drop us a line!
Contact Form Should Work Now
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 9, 2009 - 11:39amHahaha! Whoops! I just noticed last night that no one could access the contact page. I fixed the issue now, so if anyone has issues with the content we're posting (see: copyright infringement), you for sure can tell us now. Hopefully though you'll instead be submitting us products to review or asking to advertise on the site. Or maybe you can just tell me about any bugs you find with the site? I was starting to wonder why we weren't even getting Ukrainian SPAM through the form. Shouldn't be an issue now.
Dragon Age is really good.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 8, 2009 - 10:11pmSorry I have not been around lately but I just got Dragon Age and am trying to blow through it so I can post a review. I got my dragon age off of steam and there was some issues with my preload. The main issue was that after it was installed, it was stating that it was going to decrypt the files and would crash right away. The way I had to solve the issue was update steam, log in(windows 7 and vista run as admin), and had to reinstall it. Once that was done I was able to play.
Expect Some Reviews Soon
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 8, 2009 - 6:42pmBoy if I only had more free time, I'd be churning out more reviews. I'm finishing up the addition to the Surly Live Blog we did. It'll outline the apps we used and some of the finer points about live blogging with the HTC Hero.
I'm also going to be releasing a couple of reviews here within a couple of days. On top of that there will be some tech guides posted as well. If I have a computer issue and resolve it, I usually like to share that sort of thing.
GERM Reviews Now on Twitter
Submitted by MR Sidepart on October 26, 2009 - 11:43pmI signed the site up for a Twitter account now, so all of you can follow us. While I'm still sorting out security issues with allowing people to create accounts and/or post comments, I suppose you can all indirectly comment on our Twitter page.

Working on Comments System
Submitted by MR Sidepart on October 16, 2009 - 1:28amI kind of figure when it comes to a blog like this, people will undoubtedly have things to say in response to the things we write. Probably negative things because everyone on the internet is always wrong. Anyway, during the coming weeks I will be testing/setting up user registration so people can comment. I will probably also have to employ Captcha images or what not to prevent spamming of WOW GOLD and whatever else. Stay tuned.
FINALLY! I Solved my "Network Path Not Found" Problem!
Submitted by MR Sidepart on October 13, 2009 - 3:32pmSo, I've been having a difficult time for the past few months with a couple of PCs I have to service over a modem connection. Of course, working with anything over a MODEM is difficult in and of itself. This was different though, on a few of these PCs I couldn't access the remote shares! I'd keep getting "Network Path Not Found" hurr-durr.
