One-Third of People Text Naked Pictures of Themselves
Submitted by MR Sidepart on December 3, 2009 - 8:03pm
Is your kid sexting? MTV would suggest that about a third of folks between the ages of 14-24 do! I wouldn't say that these kinds of results are anything but garbage in the first place, so don't overreact if you are a parent. It is an interesting thought though, as the idea of "sexting" seems to be catching on.
Straight or Gay? Screw Those Options, This Guy Loves a Video Game
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 23, 2009 - 12:26amWhile the United States is having huge debates over same sex marriage, a gamer decided to make all of that seem trivial at best. Nene Anegasaki from the dating sim Love Plus is now taken. I have a feeling that the physical side of the relationship will ultimately be quite unsatisfactory. This will probably lead to some cheating and a divorce in the near future. No word yet on how the assets would be divided.
AT&T Calls in Another Whambulance by Filing Suit With Verizon
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 3, 2009 - 5:33pm
Are you kidding me? Everyone else in the wireless world seems to be getting along (to some degree, just don’t mention net neutrality), but AT&T is starting yet another grudge match with a competitor. This time it’s over the Verizon Wireless “There’s a map for that” ad campaign. The gripe is barely legitimate as it seems to be over the two maps shown in the commercial. Come on, really?
Install Tips for Student Upgrade Windows 7

So you had a '.edu' e-mail address and decided to drop $30 on one of the two flavors of Windows 7 offered to students. Now you're running into some problems that make the deal less sweet than it initially was. At least, that's what happened to me. Here are a couple of common issues that people would like to have a work around for: 1) A burnable DVD-ISO. 2) Using the Upgrade to perform a clean install. Luckily, we have the resources for you.
Netflix to PS3. Now it is official.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on October 26, 2009 - 2:22pm
It seems that my guess that Netflix streaming was coming to the Wii was incorrect for the time being. It has been announced for the PS3 though. It is also for free as long as you have a Playstaion Network account, so no paying for the service like Xbox Live Gold.

Netflix might be coming to PS3 and/or Wii.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on October 23, 2009 - 11:31pm
It seems that the Netflix stock rose greatly today based on speculation that the movie streaming service will be available through a largely owned consumer device. There have been rumors of a Netflix streaming disc coming to the Wii for a while now and that would be my guess on where it would go. The market share is much better on the Wii than the PS3 at the moment.
Intel Survey Shows Parents Better at Talking Drugs than Science to Kids
Submitted by MR Sidepart on October 22, 2009 - 9:07amA survey recently performed by Intel shows something completely ridiculous! The claim here is that parents are more comfortable talking with their children about drug abuse as opposed to math and science. This is a little hard to believe since the science related courses that I took at the University of Minnesota were packed full of people, but in retrospect, I did run into far more “bros” in college. Intel is hoping that the results prompt parents to take greater participation in developing these skills with their children, as the subjects are essential to American growth.
Internet Warz: The Battle for Net Neutrality
Submitted by MR Sidepart on October 22, 2009 - 8:28amThe debate over net neutrality is starting to heat up now that the FCC is likely to push through net neutrality regulation tomorrow. Recently over the past couple of weeks, we’ve started to see a divide between service providers like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast go up against application providers like Google, Amazon and Facebook. The end result seems like it will support the application providers more since the idea of net neutrality is partially meant to ban tiered internet service.
