Straight or Gay? Screw Those Options, This Guy Loves a Video Game
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 23, 2009 - 12:26amWhile the United States is having huge debates over same sex marriage, a gamer decided to make all of that seem trivial at best. Nene Anegasaki from the dating sim Love Plus is now taken. I have a feeling that the physical side of the relationship will ultimately be quite unsatisfactory. This will probably lead to some cheating and a divorce in the near future. No word yet on how the assets would be divided.
No More Heroes to 360/PS3
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 18, 2009 - 1:05pm
It seems that Marvelous is making good on their statement early last summer that they were going to port some Wii games to the 360 and PS3. It seems they are starting with Suda 51's No More Heroes. Suda has claimed that after the sequel which has been announced as well, he wants to take the series to HD consoles. Well it seems that they might be working on that already. It will be a straight port but there is an announced mode where the women seem to be wearing less clothing as well.
Atlus localizing 3d Dot Game Heroes and just announced release date.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 17, 2009 - 1:26pmAtlus has announced the game will be coming overseas to North America and now has a partial website up. There are two buttons on the site at the moment one is to pre-order and the other to tell a friend, if you hit the pre-order you can see that the game is coming out in May of 2010. There are two conflicting reports of when in May, I have heard the 3rd and the 11th. So I say we just stick with May for now.
Modern Warfare 2 Getting Slammed by PC Gaming Community
Submitted by MR Sidepart on November 12, 2009 - 1:21pm
While most people with a console are just eating up the new Modern Warfare 2, we're starting to see the black lash from the PC gaming community. IGN.com rates the game as 9.5 across the board, but I have a feeling they only looked at the version released for the XBOX 360. Meanwhile, the PC version rated by readers is only making a stunningly low 2.0 rating. Who knew that something as simple as dedicated servers would be so damaging?
Torchlight gets retail release with new partner.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 12, 2009 - 12:02pm
Runic Games have partnered with Encore Software to publish Torchlight on January 5th 2010. Of course you can go to their website or Steam and get the game now for only $19.99. If you ever played and liked a Diablo game, them this is for you since most of the team that made the game from Runic are the original Diablo developer team. There is also a Mac version planned for sometime in 2010 but that most likely means that it will be later in 2010 or they would have gave us a date.
Dragon Age is really good.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 8, 2009 - 10:11pmSorry I have not been around lately but I just got Dragon Age and am trying to blow through it so I can post a review. I got my dragon age off of steam and there was some issues with my preload. The main issue was that after it was installed, it was stating that it was going to decrypt the files and would crash right away. The way I had to solve the issue was update steam, log in(windows 7 and vista run as admin), and had to reinstall it. Once that was done I was able to play.
New American McGee's Alice coming out in 2011
Submitted by Rare Monkey on November 2, 2009 - 1:25pm
It seems that the American McGee's dark take on Alice in Wonderland is getting a sequel. The first game was really interesting, but I am surprised that they are doing another game and not trying to time it with the Tim Burton version of the movie. It seems that this game with its style would be a perfect fit for Tim Burton movie. If the teaser is indicative of what the game will look like it should be really interesting.
New Nintendo DS!
Submitted by Rare Monkey on October 29, 2009 - 1:38pm
It seems that Nintendo announced a new DSi called the DSi LL. The LL is for the larger screens that it has(since LL in Japan means extra large). The screen size is 4.2 inches which is a whopping 93% bigger than the DS Lite's screens are. There is a catch though they have kept the number of pixels the same. It seems this is catering to people who are using their DS for internet and as a music player, since it will be easier to see the letters.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii has release date.
Submitted by Rare Monkey on October 28, 2009 - 3:34pm
It seems that we have an official release date of November 15th here in North America. While the rumored release in Japan is the 3rd of December. It seems odd that we are getting the game here before they are in Japan, but it does tend to fall in line with Nintendo always having a big product out for Black Friday. I have a feeling this game will sell and continue to sell for a very long time.
